McHaffie Brothers

In 2011 Spencer and Scott McHaffie were signed out of spring camp for the BCHL Prince George Spruce Kings. They went on to play for the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL the following season. The brothers feel that the Junior A experience can help with the development of all players coming into the team’s system.

When it comes to the McHaffie brothers winning isn’t everything but it’s definitely proven. They won back to back Midget AAA provincial championships with Surrey in 2009. They went on to help the Aldergrove Kodiaks to their second overall team championship in 2013/2014 where Spencer took home the playoff scoring title with Scott behind only 2 points.

Over the past season Spencer and Scott gained a tremendous amount of coaching experience in head coaching roles in the Pacific Junior Hockey League. While coaching in the PJHL the brothers had the opportunity to work with former Vancouver Canucks assistant GM and current assistant GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs Laurence Gilman, as well as former NHL player and coach Lorne Henning. Head coach Spencer McHaffie was featured this past season on TSN 1040 for his team’s efforts over the course of the season.
